Singapore's regulator reviews Muddy Waters' report on Noble Group
[SINGAPORE] The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said on Friday it was reviewing a report issued by US-based investment research firm Muddy Waters on Noble Group Ltd, a Singapore-listed commodity trader.
"MAS is reviewing Muddy Waters' research report," a MAS spokesman said in an emailed statement to Reuters. MAS declined to give more details.
Noble Group earlier in the day issued a rebuttal to Muddy Waters' allegations of improper accounting and unsustainable debt. Muddy Waters is the second research outfit to attack Noble since February.
